OFFICIAL RULES
If you enter The Big Contest, you agree to the terms and conditions of these Official Rules.
DURATION: Entries may be submitted before December 8, 2009. Entries submitted after that period will not be considered.
ELIGIBILITY: Contest is open to all current VT undergraduate and graduate students. Individual students, groups of students and student organizations are all eligible for entry.
HOW TO ENTER: Entries may be submitted in multiple ways; some examples include: business plan formant, Powerpoint presentation, written proposal, video entry, etc. Entries must be submitted to the SGA office (Squires 321) or by email VTichange@gmail.com .
NUMBER OF ENTRIES: Each student may submit one individual entry and one entry as part of a group.
ENTRIES: Each entry must include:
· Name(s), contact information, and resume(s) of student(s) entering
· Name of student organization (if applicable)
· what change/improvement to be made on campus
· how will it affect the VT community
· how proposal will be implemented (including detailed timeline)
· human, financial, and other resources required for implementation. (do your best, we will help the winner have a detailed plan)
Entries must be your original work and may not have previously won an award.

PRIZES:
The grand prize winner will receive whatever funding is deemed necessary to put their vision into reality! The winning proposal has the potential to be awarded up to $2000 to implement their idea as well as any other resources that iChange is able to provide in order to help in the implementation process..
All top three proposals will be recognized at iChange’s End of the Year Banquet and Showcase for their achievements.
We will also be awarding an iPod.
YOUR WARRANTIES:
By entering the Contest, you represent and warrant that:
· your entry is an original work created solely by you and or your group;
· your entry does not infringe another person’s or entity’s copyright, trademark, moral right, right of privacy or publicity, or other intellectual property right;
· no other person or entity has any right, title, or interest in the entry;
LICENSE: By entering the Contest, you grant VT, for a period of five years following announcement of the Contest results, without compensation or approval rights:
· an unlimited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable during the term, sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, distribute, exhibit, and display your entry, in and through any media now or hereafter known, alone or together with other entries, in connection with the conduct and reporting of the results, of the Contest and the promotion of the Contest and future occurrences of the Contest; and
· the unrestricted right to use your name in connection with your entry and the promotion, and reporting of the results, of the Contest; and
Any use or publication of your entry will be credited to you.
